State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program Grant
Just in time for Fire Prevention Week, October 6-12, Hornbrook Fire Protection District is excited to announce that it is one of 100 volunteer fire departments across the nation to receive a $10,000 grant through the State Farm ® Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program. In collaboration with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), State Farm has awarded $1 million in grants to help local fire departments obtain needed equipment.
This grant will fund critical personal protective equipment (PPE), radios, and pagers, ensuring our first responders are better equipped to serve and protect our community. With updated PPE, our firefighters will be better protected against hazardous conditions, ensuring their safety. New radios and pagers will streamline communication among our team members, enabling quicker response times and more coordinated efforts during emergencies.
We are immensely grateful to State Farm for their support, which allows us to further our mission of safeguarding lives and property in Hornbrook.
